Definition

Local processing means running AI computations, video rendering, and data analysis entirely on your own hardware rather than uploading files to remote cloud servers. For developers, local processing addresses two critical concerns: privacy and control. Your screen recordings contain your source code, your terminal history, your environment variables, and potentially sensitive credentials visible in editor tabs or configuration files. Uploading this footage to a cloud service — even temporarily — creates exposure risk. Local processing eliminates that risk entirely because your data never leaves your machine.
