What vidno does

vidno.ai is a developer tool that records your coding sessions and transforms them into finished YouTube videos using AI. Understanding how your data flows is important to us.

Local video processing

All screen recording and video processing happens locally on your machine. Raw video files are never uploaded to our servers. Your source code never leaves your computer.

AI processing

When generating voiceover scripts and video narratives, vidno sends text-based summaries of your coding activity to the Claude API. These summaries describe what you built and the steps you took. They do not contain raw source code, file contents, or secrets from your environment.

Waitlist and email

If you join our waitlist, we store your email address securely. We use it solely to notify you about vidno.ai availability and updates. We never share, sell, or rent your email to third parties.

Analytics

We use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website. We do not use invasive tracking, fingerprinting, or cross-site cookies.

Data retention

Waitlist emails are retained until you request removal. AI-generated summaries are ephemeral and not stored after video generation is complete. We do not maintain logs of your coding sessions.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes

We may update this policy as vidno evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via email to waitlist members.
